These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CheckMyBooks website and desktop application (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Services

• You must use the Services only in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• You are solely to ensure that the Services, together with internal processes, or internet site or systems utilized.
• Our desktop application is licensed, not sold. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use it in accordance with your chosen license level.

2. Licensing & Activation

• Each plan (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) specifies limits on concurrent use and Tally files.
• License and activation licenses and profile authorization are fully integrated to manage it without a limitation.
• Unauthorized distribution, sharing, or circumvention of license protections is strictly prohibited and could be termination.

3. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in CheckMyBooks, including software, trademarks, and content, are owned by CheckMyBooks or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or modify our proprietary technology.

4. Data Protection

CheckMyBooks processes your data locally on your computer. We do not upload your ledger or sensitive to our servers, except if you voluntarily share them for support. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

5. Disclaimers

• The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• We do not guarantee that reports will be error-free or meet every compliance interpretation. Professional judgment remains your responsibility at all times.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckMyBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the preceding 12 months.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the software will end immediately.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the changes.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
